David Savage, MD

General Orthopedics

David Savage, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with extensive training in general orthopedic medicine. Dr. Savage has advanced expertise in hip and knee replacements, wrist fractures, arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery, endoscopic carpal tunnel release, and treating sports injuries in children and adults. He was named by his peers to the Best Doctors in America® list in Austin Monthly for four consecutive years, 2006-2010.

After studying chemical engineering at the University of Michigan in 1984, Dr. Savage completed his medical degree at the Baylor College of Medicine in 1988. He performed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in 1993.

Dr. Savage continually advances his education and training in order to provide patients with the latest techniques and most effective solutions for orthopedic problems. He travels around the country to learn new techniques from pioneers in orthopaedic surgery and is an active member in various professional orthopedic organizations.

Married with one daughter and a rescue dog, Dr. Savage enjoys outdoor activities including road cycling. He also is a pilot and aviation enthusiast.
